Baja Eco Tours shows you the Baja California Sur

during a unique, small group grassroots adventure travel experiences. We strive to show you the real baja, by taking you off the beaten track, to the heart of the destination, and to meet the locals who call it home. We operate a fine selection of destinations throughout the southern Baja California, trying to avoid those tourist centers offering mostly resorts, built and managed by international tour operators. We are not representing the “all-inclusive” philosophy that supposed to prevent you as travelers from spending your money outside this artificial paradise. The hub for our activities is La Paz situated at a bay of the Sea of Cortez.

Ecotourism and Eco Lodging. Baja and the Sea of Cortez has always been considered a frontier province by the Mexican Government. With little development (other than fishing), a harsh desert climate and small population it seems destined to remain that way. For those very reasons, it is a dream land for the well-equipped adventure traveler looking for dry warm weather, sunsets, incredible marine life and quiet places to camp.

Best time to visit the Baja?? In early fall and late spring the water and air temperatures are warmer, allowing more focus on water activity like snorkeling and swimming. In mid winter when daytime temps are cooler focus is on desert hikes, plant walks and bird watching in the desert canyon oases. To take you out on our favorite routes to see the best of Baja’s spectacular islands and coast is pending on your interests, however, possible all year. For Bike or Pack trips October through April are best.
